About 30 Days of Service

Our mission is to provide resources and information to help inspire young people to embrace the spirit of community service and create their own service projects.

As two college students, summer is always a welcomed and exciting time after a long and challenging school year. Like most of our peers, we look forward to spending our summer with family, hanging out with friends, and generally relaxing. But this summer was different for us - we chose to embark on a journey of service and growth. That is why we completed a summer project called. 30 Days of Service. Over the course of July 2019, we completed 30 different service projects in 30 days.

The idea for 30 Days of Service was developed by our mentor, who challenged us to use our summer break for personal and professional growth. Although he understood the value of traditional internships, he encouraged us to do something that would push us out of our comfort zone and would provide unique opportunities not just to better ourselves, but to serve others.

During Fall 2019, we plan to release a book that will serve as a how-to guide for other youth who are interested in serving their communities. The book will detail our experiences and important lessons we've learned over the course of the project. After the book's release, we will travel the country sharing this information and advocate for more youth getting involved in community service. With the book and tour, we hope to provide youth valuable resources and insights on how they can get involved with their communities.
